The best white and rosé wines for a summer night

The long-awaited summer is here! Although with him, high temperatures have also arrived and the suffocating heat has become the protagonist of the moment. Therefore, in the same way that we totally change our wardrobe in search of cooler and more comfortable clothes to wear, it is also time to find wines totally different from those of winter.

The summer nights invite you to taste fresher flavors and with lighter textures, so white and rosé wines will always be a safe bet when the thermometer marks its highest figures. And, of course, do not forget to take them very cold, maintaining an adequate temperature when serving them (between 8 ℃ and 10 ℃).

The white and rosé wines that we propose below match perfectly with the summer gastronomy  and are synonymous with elegance and freshness. Take note of our recommendations and surprise your guests at any of your dinners!

Sta Rosa (Dosterras)

We could describe it as a rosé wine that on the nose resembles a white but has a red soul in the mouth. It is a very gastronomic rosé and perfect for those red wine lovers than searches a fresher alternative for summer time.  In the mouth it is fresh and soft, with great acidity very well balanced, it is unctuous and deep. His palate is long; With a very balsamic aftertaste.

Picot Blanc (Vidauba)

Its manual harvest and aging time, for about 4 months, make this white wine one of our favorites for this summer.

With Denomination of Origin Pla i Llevant de Mallorca, you can quickly recognize it by its characteristic pale yellow color with certain green, bright and transparent nuances.

It is perfect if you decide to prepare a dinner in which semi-cured cheeses, white fish, seafood and salads predominate. Without any doubt, it is a round and fresh wine, with a very refreshing perception in the mouth. As in the previous case, it has a fairly long aftertaste with constant memories of tropical fruit.

Gegant del vi blanc (Jovani vins)

Here is another white wine that you can’t miss in the summer months. Its production process is very curious, since it is made from traditional white Garnacha and Macabeo grapes, hand picked during the month of September, and fermented for 20 days in stainless steel tanks.

Once you try it, you will notice that it has a certain volume, although you will quickly appreciate its softness and freshness in the mouth. In addition, these recognizable characteristics are combined with high acidity and an intense aroma of white fruits such as, for example, apple, pear and peach.

Els nanos rosat trepat (Josep Foraster)

And finally, one of the rosé wines with which you can turn your dinner into a unique moment to remember. It is made with grapes of the native variety of the Conca de Barberà and its producers clearly define it as “fun, sweet, elegant and fresh” at the same time.

In this sense, one of its most striking aspects is that it is able to keep intact all its aromatic and gustatory potential in the most traditional way possible.

The palate is broad, intense and tasty, while its pale pink color resembles that of the onion or salmon skin. And, as if all this were not enough, its aroma will allow you to move immediately to a complete mixture of red fruits with cream, hints of pepper and brief notes of aromatic herbs.
